Pick Up Maps At Information Box May 18th, In Front Of Town Hall, 6 Main St.


1st place winner was April Bridges with a 20 1/2 inch flounder for a total winnings of $870.75. 2nd place winner -Page Winstead with a with a 19 1/4 inch flounder for a total winning of $580.50. 3rd place winner was JoAnne Eshlemen with an 18 7/8 flounder . Congratulations 2023 Shore Girls Winners!

Fireman's Carnival

2024 June 19-July 6

A local tradition is attending the annual Fireman’s Carnival on Wachapreague’s waterfront. We are famous for clam, oyster, crab sandwiches, and hand-cut fresh French Fries. Our grill has other delights for carnival attendees to enjoy. Nightly bingo, carnival rides, and local entertainment. Open nightly Wednesday through Saturday, 7-10:30 pm. NO PETS - NO SMOKING

What a great way to start the town's July 4th Events!


Independence Day Parade 2024

July 4th at 10:30

Email: town@wachapreague.org. Leave your Name, Phone number, and how you will be participating.

Town parade with golf carts, cars, boats, bikes, pets, kids, firetrucks, and the coast guard boat. Parade runs down Main St to Brooklyn.


VIMS Marine Life Day

September, to be determined, 2024

12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

All ages will have the opportunity to touch live displays of local marine life and learn more about the current research projects conducted in our waters.

Admission is Free

Oyster Roast

Join us for oysters, clams, pulled pork and all the fixings. Proceeds benefit The Navy Seal Foundation. A live band plays under a huge tent in the parking lot, along with a live auction and separate beer/wine tent. Local musicians jam inside the restaurant after the event. VETERANS DAY 2024

2024 - 11/11 at 9:00 AM meet at the Wachapreague Cemetary, Drummondtown Road, Melfa to place flags on all Veterans Gave sites located there. Flags will be provided by the town.

Santa at Seaside Park Community Christmas Party

Saturday, December 14th, 2024-6:00 PM Santa will be at the Seaside Park Gazebo.

In case of rain or foul weather, it will be held at the Wachapreague Firehall.

It's time for the kids to see Santa. Have a cup of hot chocolate or cider, eat some cookies, and sing a few Christmas carols with your friends, family, and neighbors. If you'd like to bring some cookies or dessert to share. Santa can't wait to see you there!
